DescriptionThe Collupy Guest House is a beautifully restored gothic revival, 1850's Sea Captain's house, with a large private garden. Across the road is the “Collupy Walking Trail” that leads to a private picnic area on Allendale Bay. With rounded beach stones along the shore it’s the perfect spot for beachcombing. This stylish, charming house features high ceilings, tall baseboards and hardwood floors throughout. Large windows flood the rooms with light, while muted paint colours and tasteful artwork adds to the overall elegance. Downstairs is a small fully equipped kitchen, living room, semi-formal dining room, 4-piece bathroom, bedroom and a utility room with laundry facilities and upright piano! Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a small sitting area with a chase lounge and view of the ocean and fantasy playroom that will delight both the young and the young at heart. All four bedrooms are beautifully furnished with antiques. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and two have ¾ spindle beds. Furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques, artwork and modern pieces, the house pays homage to its history. One of the bedrooms has a retro theme with faux braided-rug linoleum flooring, 50’s/60’s furniture and some funky 60’s lamps. This fun room is a tribute to the family who bought the house in 1962 and kept it until the present owners purchased it in 2003. Local artist, Rebecca Tudor has decorated the main entrance, bathroom and kitchen backsplash with her own custom designed, handmade ceramic tiles. The Collupy House is a versatile vacation rental; it is elegant enough for the discerning couple, while playful enough for any family with children.
