Guest TestimonialsArrived 1 day late in the wake of Hurricane Earl but Peace and Plenty was certanily worth the wait. What a lovely, well equipped cottage and gorgeous view! Thank you Helen and John for your concern about our safe arrival.
We spent two bissful weeks in your lovely Moose Harbour View Cottage. What a pleasure to gaze out the window and see such a view. We had fun exploring the South Shore. Thanks for sharing!
We arrive here after a long drive. Francis Louis House is lovely and romantic; made us feel extremely happy and we rested very quickly before running down to the beach. When we got to the water, we were amazed that the sand actually is white! We looked around and we knew that we had found the perfect vacation spot. A little into our visit we wondered why people were crazy about the Bahamas and no so fanatic about Canada's hidden paradise. For the last three nights, we made bonfires and cooked our dinners on the beach. The coals looked like the sky's stars and the sound of the waves made it seem too good to be true. We really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for sharing your comfortable home with us. Even on cloudy days, Lupin Lane always felt bright and airy, especially the fantastic sun room. We appreciated the tide clock as going to the beach became the center of our days here. Such a lovely place.

© Sandy Lane Enterprises Ltd. DescriptionThe Frances Louis House was designed and built in the early 1970s by a Nova Scotia architect, Keith Graham. The modernist design style of clean lines and light infused spaces is softened by the use of natural materials. Constructed of Red Western cedar with hardwood floors and local fieldstone, the house harmonizes with the natural surroundings. The main living area is comprised of a large fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a sunken living room that looks out on to the deck. A large stone fireplace anchors the living room while floor to ceiling windows flood the space with light. A corridor leads from the main living area to the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a small western facing balcony that overlooks the property, a queen size bed and an ensuite washroom with a dressing area and separate cedar lined shower room that feels like a steam bath. A second bedroom has two twin beds and a view of the garden. Carefully placed skylights bring additional light into the bedrooms. There is an additional washroom with separate vanity and toilet and a “steam bath” shower. Flanking this corridor are two creatively designed rooms: a well-stocked library/media room with a colour television and DVD player and an additional bedroom with a single bed. Two large sliding pocket doors create the fourth wall for these spaces and can be fully opened to expand the room or closed for privacy. Approximately 200 meters from the waterfront, the property is well treed with pines. The beach is almost always deserted. Shallow waters and interesting inlets make for perfect sea kayaking. So whether you are seeking an active holiday or a peaceful break from the everyday, the Frances Louis House is the ideal seaside vacation home. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I have been to the cottage and I am quite familiar with the property. 2012 Early Bird Special: Book this cottage by March 30, 2012 for a chance to win.
