It has been a fantastic week in Nova Scotia in this so beautiful Maritimes. And, we truly enjoyed the Willow Cove Cottage; very quiet, beautiful garden, well equipped and so clean the day we arrived. A home far from home. One of the few places you keep in mind for the rest of your life. We'd like to thank and express our praise to the owners to have built such a wonderful nest.
Just finished one fantastic week with great weather at Willow Cove Cottage! It seems this cottage is immune to fog. Carter's Beach was visited almost daily. Our 2 year old loved the cold water. Had a great meal at the Quarter Deck Restaurant! The cottage was very comfortable, clean and bright. We'd highly recommend it. Daily trips to surrounding towns were great; Shelburne, Lunenburg, Liverpool. Lot's of small museums to see. The Rossignol Cultural Center was quirky but surprisingly satisfiying. Fabulous Memories!
We reserved Francis Louis House almost a year ago as a place to hold our wedding. We rented it blindly from the internet with only a few pictures. Once we arrived, we quickly realized that the pictures certainly did not do this place justice. WE LOVE THIS HOUSE!

DescriptionTake in all of the breath-taking ocean views from the three over-sized picture windows and the huge wrap-around deck! It is amazing! A two minute stroll can take you in several directions to the white sand beach of Hunts Point, the picturesque fishing wharfs or to explore the huge rocks on the open ocean side. It's a wonderland for the senses and all right at your door step!Ocean Vista Cottage is a delightful family friendly cottage with an open concept kitchen, living and dining room. At the heart of this rustic cabin is a large stone fireplace with a propane insert around which sits comfortable couches and a dining room table. The cottage is bright and sunny. There are four bedrooms - with a king, a queen and 2 with twin beds. All of the bedrooms have ample closet space; lobster crates serve as bedside tables and complete the rustic look. The cottage comes equipped with two bathrooms. An ensuite 4-piece washroom for the Master Bedroom and a 3-piece washroom. A deck wraps around two sides of the cabin and extends the living area to the outside. In late August and early September, a dozen “high-bush” blueberry bushes are in bloom – you could be eating blueberries for breakfast every day! Amazing adventures nearby include an ocean edge golf course (3 minutes’ drive), Liverpool (10-15 minutes), Deep Sea Fishing (10 minutes), Horseback riding, Carters Beach (an extraordinary pristine beach perfect for collecting sand dollars and just 10 minutes away) and the best fried clams & scallops anywhere (a nice walk across the beach from the cabin). A day trip will have you at glorious Lunenburg, gorgeous Mahone Bay and Chester, picturesque Peggy's Cove or the cities of Yarmouth, Bridgewater and Metro Halifax! The World UNESCO site of Lunenburg and the famous lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove are not far. Nova Scotia’s capital, Halifax is about an hour and a half up the coast.
