Reservation Deposit

Final Payment

The balance of the rental fee is due 90 days prior to your arrival. Upon final payment we will email you a confirmation letter with a detailed information package that includes driving directions and information on where to find the key.  Arrival is at your convenience after 4:00 p.m.

Last Minute Reservations

Full payment plus the $45 Damage Deposit Waiver fee is required at the time of booking for resevations made within 90 days of arrival.

Taxes

There are no additional taxes on top of the posted rental rate.  This represents a 15% savings over hotel or resort bookings.

Method of Payment

Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, e-mail transfer or personal cheque (in Canadian funds).  Unfortunately, we cannot accept money orders or cheques in any other currency.  Please note there is a $25.00 charge for NSF cheques.

Damage Deposit Waiver Fee

We require a $45 non-refundable Damage Deposit Waiver fee for all reservations in lieu of charging an additional $500 security deposit fee to the property rental rate. This privilege is offered to you as our way of saying thank you for your business. The waiver covers all minor accidental damage or breakage up to $500.

Coverage does not cover loss, theft, extraordinary cleaning charges, damage resulting from negligence or willful or wanton conduct or damage by a pet (in those properties that allow pets) or loosing the key. Guests must notify the Sandy Lane Enterprises Ltd. at once of any damage during occupancy and submit a written report or the Damage Deposit Waiver is void. For reservations of which the rental amount is over $2500 weekly, an additional refundable security deposit may be required.

Cancellation Policy

Should you wish to cancel your Nova Scotia vacation rental reservation; your cancellation notice must be made in writing - either by fax, email or mail.

• For cancellations received before 90 days prior to occupancy and after a deposit has been made, $250 shall be forfeited from the $500 Reservation Deposit.

• For cancellations received between 60 and 90 days prior to your arrival date, 50% of the total rental fee is forfeited. 

• For cancellations received between 30 and 60 days prior to your arrival date, 75% of the total rental fee is forfeited. 

• For cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, 100% of the total rental fee is forfeited.
  

Sandy Lane Vacation Rentals will make every effort to re-rent the property, however we cannot guarantee re-rental.  No-shows, late arrival and early departures after arrival are all non-refundable. Sandy Lane Vacation Rentals suggests that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.
