My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with Orchard Point. It was so lovely, with a stunning setting and a perfect location. The cottage itself was steeped in history but with all the modern amenities you expect.
The Francis Louis House was great! We drove up to Durham Lane and down to what's known as the
old wharf. We took a lovely walk along that fabulous beach-left toward the mouth of the harbor. A great place to visit at low tide. Afterwards we rode down to the end of St. Catherine's River Road, stopping to view the marsh before the big curve near the end of the road. We saw an adult bald eagle atop one of the scraggly tall spruces! We shared the cottage, a beautiful setting for a week with my sister and her children. Four cousins played, enjoyed and connected. We love the setting, the beautiful rocks and view of the ocean. The day trips to Luneneburg, Peggy's Cove and the beaches calmed and re-energized. We truly enjoyed our time here. The blueberry patch was awsome! We hope to be back soon.
This is a charming and comfortable cottage. We found the area very pleasant, the beaches are stunning. We loved the many birds and the seals. Great place, great vacation.
