Our first day here we open the curtains to be greeted by the view of a Great Blue Heron standing among the rocks of your little beach area! For our 20th anniversary what we were looking for was a place that offered quiet and seclusion away from very busy lives! Your home was just the ticket! Quiet relaxing days of no particular schedule made this an anniversary to remember!
We have had two wonderful weeks in Willow Cove Cottage. It’s spacious and equipped mwith everything you need. The beaches are outstanding. It will not be our last trip to Canada.
We had a wolderful time in the Captain McLean's Carriage House and in Shelburne! The only bad thing is to leave! We can't wait to come back.

DescriptionIf you are looking for peace and quiet, this traditional Nova Scotia farmhouse is the perfect place for you. Situated on 20 acres of property with 350 feet of shoreline and no neighbours for miles, Rockland Cottage offers the simple pleasure of seclusion.Built in the 1850s by an English merchant sea captain by the name of Pierce, this traditional Nova Scotia Farmhouse enjoys a commanding view of Lockport Harbour. The house combines the charm of a traditional homestead along with the conveniences of modern day living with a kitchen, two sitting rooms, 4 bedrooms, and a modern 4-piece bathroom. The heart of the house is the large fully equipped, eat-in kitchen that is complemented by an antique hutch and dining table with seating for six. A propane fireplace adds to the ambiance of the comfortably furnished living room while a separate parlor allows for a quiet reading room or games room. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, and the other two have single Captain’s beds. This delightful Nova Scotia cottage has a comfortable atmosphere while retaining a lot of its original character - oak baseboards and staircase and hardwood floors. A newly built screened in veranda at the back of the house to take advantage of the clear view of the ocean and thwarts any flying insects. By the shore there is a wooden deck for sun tanning and a fire pit for evening bonfires. LocationRockland Cottage is located on the eastern shore of Lockeport Harbour on Nova Scotia’s Lighthouse Route. The property is about 20 acres with 350 feet of pebble beach. It’s an easy walk along a landscaped path to get to the waterfront where you can enjoy a lazy day relaxing on the beach deck or have an evening bonfire in a fire pit by the water's edge.It’s a short 30-minute drive to Shelburne, 15 minutes to Lockeport and 40 minutes to Liverpool; Rockland Cottage is nicely situated to explore the South Shore. The nearest beaches are Louis Head beach at about 10 minutes away and Lockeport's Crescent Beach about 15 minutes away by car. Yarmouth is just over an hour’s drive; while Lunenburg, Digby and Halifax are all pleasant day trips. Amenities
