We explored numerous beaches; ate at Charlotte Lane; got out on the water; poked around Shelburne; watched a meteor shower and spied deer as they crept across the lawn. Our cottage was well equipped for entertaining and cooking and especially relaxing! In fact, many hours were spent simply reading on the porch. We even managed to forget which day it was for a while!
We arrive here after a long drive. Francis Louis House is lovely and romantic; made us feel extremely happy and we rested very quickly before running down to the beach. When we got to the water, we were amazed that the sand actually is white! We looked around and we knew that we had found the perfect vacation spot. A little into our visit we wondered why people were crazy about the Bahamas and no so fanatic about Canada's hidden paradise. For the last three nights, we made bonfires and cooked our dinners on the beach. The coals looked like the sky's stars and the sound of the waves made it seem too good to be true. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a fantastic stay at Francis Louis House on our honeymoon. It's a relaxing and beautiful! This is a truely a unique place and we enjoyed every moment here.
Slateville Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable house. We have especially enjoyed the seals on the rocks. Thanks so much for having good binoculars for us to use. On the first morning we went for a walk and were excited to come across a couple of deer and their young ones.

Go out for dinner, or simply stay at home and enjoy the peace and quiet of the cottage. Watch the seabirds soar overhead, listen to the waves, have a beach bonfire.
