Our last day at the cottage how the time has flown! We know of the village of West Green Harbor, smells of the sea, cries of the sea gulls, the lobster pots drying in the sun, the bold colours of the lupins swaying along the road, the gentle breeze fades into the distance as we fly home - we leave with fond memories of the soft rhythm of life in Nova Scotia. Home Watch: For Peace of Mind

At Sandy Lane we keep a professional, watchful eye on our clients homes and property, working hard to meet all their individual house sitting and property management needs. During the months you are not in residence, we can help to ensure the safety of your investment. We will conduct on-site building inspections as per the requirements of your insurance.

Our Home Watch service includes a thorough review of the interior and exterior of the property. The property is inspected for weather damage, signs of tampering, vandalism, or other security risks.

As well, we will make unscheduled visits after power outages or bad weather such as strong winds or heavy rains, to check for loose shingles, leaks, fallen limbs, etc. We will collect any flyers that have been left at the doorstep and make sure the house has a lived-in look. We will monitor timers to make sure lights are coming on and turning off at appropriate times.
