"Wow, what a wonderful time we had! This beautiful cottage was exactly what we needed. The views are incredible and the amenities are so convenient. We stayed here at Bright View Cottage for a couple of weeks in September. The weather was lovely and the surrounding environment was peaceful. We spent a lot of our time lounging on the main deck, observing the ocean and the wildlife. At nighttime the second level deck is an incredible place to view the stars. We played sports on the surrounding lawn and took walks (and swam!) at the nearby beaches. Great place for bike riding and jogging as there is little to no traffic. We were able to cook every meal at the cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. We especially loved having access to the extensive library both up and downstairs-lots of classics! Overall a fantastic place to reset and take it slow."

We arrive here after a long drive. Francis Louis House is lovely and romantic; made us feel extremely happy and we rested very quickly before running down to the beach. When we got to the water, we were amazed that the sand actually is white! We looked around and we knew that we had found the perfect vacation spot. A little into our visit we wondered why people were crazy about the Bahamas and no so fanatic about Canada's hidden paradise. For the last three nights, we made bonfires and cooked our dinners on the beach. The coals looked like the sky's stars and the sound of the waves made it seem too good to be true. We really enjoyed our stay.

The perfect place to self isolate

5 of us stayed at Ragged Island Retreat while we were in quarantine and it was perfect. Lots of space to roam the property, we hardly ever saw anyone except the odd person clamming, or driving a truck down the road. The accommodations were simple but very comfortable, loved all the windows and the sunrises were AMAZING! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to get away from the business.
