We had a wonderful week long stay at Black Point Cottage. Helen and the owners were very accommodating to our needs leading up to the stay and during as well. The location is amazing, and we loved having a spotting scope and binoculars to watch wildlife. The house is a good size and could have easily accommodated more than our family of four, beds are comfortable and the living room comes with a nicely tuned piano, which we loved playing. 

 This is a lovely piece of land and a great cottage with everything that you need. You can enjoy kayaking and paddle right to a lovely, secluded beach. Enjoy coffee on the deck with beautiful views. The cottage has everything you could need and is quite modern. Great kitchen for cooking and all the bedrooms were super comfortable. We saw rabbits and deer, and tons of birds. Ragged Island Retreat is a very private get away -- and you will not hear a car or other people from the cottage.

Wow! We wanted peace and tranquility and got it! Our cottage was a marvelous place to escape internet, phones etc! We were so fortunate to have a full moon and high and low tides! Wonderful. We were constantly amused at the many sea birds, deck squirrels and hares. Weather was wonderful despite the mid October time frame! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and rested our souls! Just to make sure we experienced the cabin in all weather conditions, our last day provided us with a wonderful wild storm. We sat comfortably inside while wind and rain raveged the roof and trees! It was hard not to be mystified by the ever changing gray cloud banks and gusts of wind as it played with the surface of the water. Better than satillite TV!

We've had a wonderful time here. It is a beautiful cottage and well-equipped. You really own a lovely property! The cottage was perfectly clean when we arrived. Thank you cleaning lady! This is our first time in Nova Scotia. We loved to spend relaxing days with out children at Carter's Beach, The weather was wonderful-sunshine and warmth. A place we can recommend is the pub at the Lane's Privateer Inn in Liverpool. Extremely friendly staff, great burgers, good beer. Thanks for a perfect holiday at your cottage.
