Guest Testimonials

The cottage was a delightful, very private spot. It had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay, lovely setup and right on the ocean. Barrington and area was wonderful to explore. We would definitely go again!! Thank you Helen for a seemless stay, it was great dealing with you.

Beach Heaven is a very modern, well-appointed property with beautiful views and quick access to a lovely beach. The hot tub and saunas are nice bonuses too! The kitchen is well-equipped making meal prep a breeze.

The location is ideal for day trips to different areas on Nova Scotia's south shore, and is handy to a number of parks and bird sanctuary areas.

We have had a very enjoyable and relaxing time in Nova Scotia. We explored numerous beaches; ate at Charlotte Lane; got out on the water; poked around Shelburne; watched a meteor shower and spied deer  as they crept across the lawn.  Our cottage was well equipped for entertaining and cooking and especially relaxing!  In fact, many hours were spent simply reading on the porch. We even managed to forget which day it was for a while!

Description

In the spring of 1783, 3000 United Empire Loyalists escaped the American Revolution and settled on the shores of Shelburne Harbour. With the promise of free land, tools and provisions, and the protection of the British Crown, four hundred families associated to form a town of Shelburne.

Founders Days Festival celebrates our history and heritage.  Events include a Regimental Re-Enactment, Eighteenth Century Dances, canoe jousting and Dory races; a Yacht Regatta, a "Parade of Lights" and a Coastal Oldies Car Show. There are fireworks, face painting and of course, lots of toe tapping music.
