We shared the cottage, a beautiful setting for a week with my sister and her children. Four cousins played, enjoyed and connected. We love the setting, the beautiful rocks and view of the ocean. The day trips to Luneneburg, Peggy's Cove and the beaches calmed and re-energized. We truly enjoyed our time here. The blueberry patch was awsome! We hope to be back soon.

DescriptionBeach Heaven House is a striking, modern beach house with a whimsical personality that is evident from the moment you reach the driveway. Look up and you will see some of Port Mouton's namesakes. The story goes that in 1604 Samuel de Champlain, the famous explorer (and later founder of Quebec City), anchored in Port Mouton`s protected bay to chart the Nova Scotia coastline. The sheep on board were so excited to see land that they jumped overboard and tried to swim to shore. All were lost, except for a plucky couple who made it and are now living on the roof of Beach Heaven House.Built in 2010, Beach Heaven is a contemporary design with floor to ceiling picture windows running the width of the house. Overlooking the Port Mouton Bay, the views are of blue skies, white sands and shimmering seas dotted with islands. Upstairs, the space is dominated by the sun-filled open concept, kitchen, living and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a full selection of dishes, pots and pans, kettle and coffee maker (drip). The living room is playfully appealing with futuristic leather Leolux furnishings. The dining area has custom table. Patio doors lead from the dining room out to a solarium and from there to an upper deck that runs the width of the living space and features a couple of lounger chairs and tempered glass rails so as not to obstruct the incredible view. Adjacent to the living room is a sunny office with glorious ocean views. Beyond that there is a large master bedroom with two double beds. The room features a wall of windows that overlooks the beautiful sandy beach. Overhead skylights make it possible for you to fall asleep listening to the sound of waves while watching the night sky pass by. There are black out blinds if you are not an early riser. On the ground floor there is one other bedroom, a large media room, a small den and a utility room with laundry facilities. The bedroom has two twin beds that are configured into a king size bed and an ensuite 3 piece bathroom. The den has a pull out couch that can be used as an additional bedroom. It is from this level that you can access a small private courtyard with a screened-in sun room. Situated on a 2-acre oceanfront property, it overlooks the sparkling waters of Port Mouton Bay. A short stroll through the garden and over the dunes will take you onto Wobemkak beach. From here it's a short 10 minute walk to Carters Beach - famous for its white sands.There are 5 other stunning beaches in the immediate vicinity of Beach Heaven and all are easily accessible: Summerville Beach, Hunts Point Beach, South West Port Mouton Beach, Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct beaches and White Point Beach. Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct has a couple of hiking trails and abundance of wildlife. The picturesque town of Liverpool, once the privateering capital of Nova Scotia is just 10 minutes' drive from Beach Haven. Here you will find museums and fine dining, live music and nightlife, grocery shopping, a craft brewery and opportunities to do some browsing through boutique shops, galleries and bookshops. We stayed Labor Day weekend and it was an absolutely dream. The weather was perfect. We got to enjoy the beach most days and the evenings were perfect weather for the hot tub and sauna. We knew at the time of booking we would love this property. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil/pot/pan you would need. There were things we forgot to bring and they had it there!
