We fully enjoyed our week at Castaway Ocean Lodge. As experienced cottage renters this cottage was fully equipped including those small kitchen items like mustard and ketchup, spices etc. While we did not use the hot tub or kayaks, they were there and available. The view was magnificent from the deck and it was fun to explore the rocky shoreline. Problems with the internet were resolved. The location is wonderful for exploring both Lockport and Shelburne areas. While there was only two of us and our dog there was more than enough room for more people. Great week away in a wonderful setting.

Beach Heaven is a very modern, well-appointed property with beautiful views and quick access to a lovely beach. The hot tub and saunas are nice bonuses too! The kitchen is well-equipped making meal prep a breeze.

The location is ideal for day trips to different areas on Nova Scotia's south shore, and is handy to a number of parks and bird sanctuary areas.

Home Watch: For Peace of Mind

At Sandy Lane we keep a professional, watchful eye on our clients homes and property, working hard to meet all their individual house sitting and property management needs. During the months you are not in residence, we can help to ensure the safety of your investment. We will conduct on-site building inspections as per the requirements of your insurance.

Our Home Watch service includes a thorough review of the interior and exterior of the property. The property is inspected for weather damage, signs of tampering, vandalism, or other security risks.

As well, we will make unscheduled visits after power outages or bad weather such as strong winds or heavy rains, to check for loose shingles, leaks, fallen limbs, etc. We will collect any flyers that have been left at the doorstep and make sure the house has a lived-in look. We will monitor timers to make sure lights are coming on and turning off at appropriate times.
