Guest TestimonialsI would book another stay at Neptunes Rise in a heartbeat. We spent a lot of our trip on the porch off the kitchen, watching seals, deer, eagles, and osprey go by. My son stayed busy with the toys and books. It’s a totally private space, yet minutes from Shelburne and not far from many beautiful destinations on the south shore. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed, and the property is lovely.
The cottage is a lovely place ,so peaceful , so close to beaches , such a beautiful view. It has everything inside that you will need from batteries, candles, saran wrap, beach towels, first aid kit, movies, kids toys (story books), bug spray and soooo much more. It was so great to have two bathrooms and washer/dryer. One of the other great things is the outdoor shower came in so handy with the Grandchildren (they loved it). A all around great place !!!
The perfect oceanside vacation
A week at this Orchard Point was like a week in paradise. The house is very well built, and comfortably furnished with a great kitchen. The ocean, where you can swim from the rocks, begins right where the lawn ends. That is where both the sun and moon rise. It is comfortable all day in the breeze and stays warm though the night. It is private and feels secluded but is not remote; stores and all you need are close by.

DescriptionSapphire Cottage is a cozy two bedroom cottage overlooking the sparkling waters of Shelburne harbour. This welcoming home has a fully equipped eat in kitchen, a comfortably furnished living room, a separate dining room/office space, and a bright sun room that spans the width of the house and overlooks the front garden and harbour below.Painted in warm shades of creams and yellows and decorated with an eclectic mix of nautical decor this cottage has a friendly and cheerful disposition. The sun room has a day bed for relaxing and a small eating area for early morning coffees or afternoon aperitifs. A 3 piece bathroom with laundry facilities completes the ground floor layout. Upstairs there are two bedrooms; the master has a queen size bed and the guest room has a double bed and a 3/4 bed. Both rooms have views of the back garden and woodlands. The back garden is surrounded in woodlands and is private and features Adirondack chairs and a fire-pit. The front garden slopes gently down to the Lighthouse Route and Shelburne Harbour. We loved this place. Everything came as promised, the host was very responsive and helpful with a ton of information on the surrounding area before we arrived. Cannot recommend Orchard Point enough, beyond such a beautiful home, the surrounding area is just so nice. Hope to be back next year!!
