Beach Heaven is the airbnb of your dreams. Everything is even better than the photos! Fully stocked kitchen, top notch appliances, sparkling clean, and designer touches everywhere you look. The beach was beautiful (even in the winter!) for daily strolls.
Despite the fact the the home has custom, expensive touches, it also manages to feel incredibly cozy and lived in. It's obvious this is a loved, family home and not just a rental. There is an amazing couch and huge TV (not pictured) that are a welcome surprise.
Note for business travellers, the wifi isn't the strongest or most reliable, but great for emails, Netflix, and vacation needs! I am leaving tomorrow but I don't want to go. I knew the moment I stepped into this beautiful cottage that I would have a wonderful week! The cottage, the weather, Carter's Beach, Summerville, the surrounding area and general good feelings generated from the ocean and fresh air was so much worth coming to Port Mouton.

Great vacation rental, excellent location for a cabin getaway
I stayed at Castaway Ocean Lodge over the Remembrance Day long weekend in November 2011 (Nov 11-13). The location on the lake is terrific! The view from the decks that wrap around the cabin are amazing and tranquil. The added nicety of having a hot tub with access to the same views was also terrific! The cabin has an open concept inside which made hanging out with friends while cooking, eating, watching a movie, etc very easy. Definitely a great spot and we would go back for sure!
