Sea Star Cottage is a roomy and spacious home, delightful for a family stay. The internet connection is superior. The shorefront is rocky and while you can't walk it to Carters Beach, the beach is a short drive down the road. It's also an easy walk, if you aren't carrying 'beach supplies'. Carters Beach is truly a gem and the tidal pools warm enough to wade in. While, there is a barbecue it is one of those small, portable Coleman's, that uses small canisters - not a full-size barbecue. Overall, a delightful location and cottage.

Simply wonderful

We had a wonderful time staying at the Elm Tree Cottage. The outside is deceptive as the inside is spacious with plenty of amenities for the traveling couple. The master bedroom was large with queen bed, Bureau, an armoire for clothes storage. The bathroom was equally large with an updated walk in shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen was complete with dishwasher, washer / dryer, pots pans dishes and everything else you need. The living room was especially nice due to the pull-out Queen sofa bed which came in handy because I snore. The eating kitchen sits four comfortably as well as the walk out deck with screened in porch with seating for 4. We had a pleasant week and look forward to coming back to stay. The location of the cottage is on a quiet street just off 103 and perfect for taking day trips in the surrounding Nova Scotia area.

Blue Sky, Sea and Sand ... what more does a kid need?

An meandering fresh water stream changes positions every year. Its a wonderful place to sail boats and dig in the sand.

I cannot begin to count the hours we have spent on this beach. Its a family favourite. My children would live there if they could!

We get a lot of truly beautiful days in September with blue skies and warm breezes. Days that just cry out to be Beach Days.

I took my boys to the beach on one such day in September and shot this little video of Carleton Village Beach. I always find the lapping of the waves memorizing, so I took this video of the waves on the shore.
