I cannot begin to tell you how FABULOUS our experience has been!!! We rented the Castaways Ocean Lodge and Helen facilitated EVERY step of the booking!!! The cottage and views are breathtaking and the amenities make you feel like you're walking into your own place! Everyone who stays here clearly is very respectful and tidy as the entire place is clean and in wonderful condition! Simply second to none....thank you soooo much for such an amazing experience filled with such special moments!!! Helen, you're a star! We had a fantastic stay at Francis Louis House on our honeymoon. It's a relaxing and beautiful! This is a truely a unique place and we enjoyed every moment here.
Wow! We wanted peace and tranquility and got it! Our cottage was a marvelous place to escape internet, phones etc! We were so fortunate to have a full moon and high and low tides! Wonderful. We were constantly amused at the many sea birds, deck squirrels and hares. Weather was wonderful despite the mid October time frame! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and rested our souls! Just to make sure we experienced the cabin in all weather conditions, our last day provided us with a wonderful wild storm. We sat comfortably inside while wind and rain raveged the roof and trees! It was hard not to be mystified by the ever changing gray cloud banks and gusts of wind as it played with the surface of the water. Better than satillite TV!
This place is incredible-"AH-MAZING!" The beach was beautiful, perfect for walking, soccer, golf, sand castles-something for everybody. We went for many kayaks around the lake and the ocean. And, of course Sanderling Beach House was a dream. We all enjoyed the colorful fiesta dishes-especially my dad who completely fell in love with them! It is very kind of you to share the slice of heaven with others.

Carters BeachDescriptionOne of the nicest beach in the Liverpool area, Carter's beach is actually three beaches in one - all the beaches have slightly different orientations, so it is always possible to find a sunny spot out of the wind. The first beach you come to is a gentle crescent beach that is fairly shallow. It is boarded by sand dunes along the back. The next beach is a little rougher - it has a river that runs through it that is tidal. It is much easier to cross at low tide when it is about ankle deep that at high tide when it is waist deep. It is not a problem, but is definitely something to watch. When we went to the beach with our children (1 and 4) we played a lot in this river at low tide as the water was warmer and there were no waves. We love this beach.John and I went to Carter's beach on Canada Day in 2001. We were amazed. It looked like we had traveled thousands of miles to the Caribbean - the sand was white and the water turquoise. The illusion was broken when we dipped our toes into the ocean and realized that yes we were still in Canada! The water was not freezing, but it definitely was not tropical! LocationSea Star Cottage and Harbour Tide House in Port Mouton are the closest cottages to this beach.AddressPort Mouton, NSGoogle Map |
