An incredibly relaxing escape, short walk down the lane to the beach and beautiful sunsets. Secluded yet accessible and close to Lockeport and Shelburne. Home was clean, comfortable, and enjoyed by our entire family. Pet friendly was an added bonus. Highly recommend this cottage.
Sea Star Cottage is a roomy and spacious home, delightful for a family stay. The internet connection is superior. The shorefront is rocky and while you can't walk it to Carters Beach, the beach is a short drive down the road. It's also an easy walk, if you aren't carrying 'beach supplies'. Carters Beach is truly a gem and the tidal pools warm enough to wade in. While, there is a barbecue it is one of those small, portable Coleman's, that uses small canisters - not a full-size barbecue. Overall, a delightful location and cottage.
Orchard Point exceeded our expectations!! We had such an outstanding two-week stay. We hope to return for years to come. We chose this place to isolate (as per NS covid rules) with our 4 month old baby. We had so much room to roam safely, lots of quiet, serene rocky shore to explore, and didn't see anyone except for the neighbour once or twice. It was truly perfect! There were tons of amenities, games to play, noodles for floating in the ocean, and anything else you might need on a beach vacation. Falling asleep to the ocean waves and waking to the perfectly calm water and sometimes even the sunrise was amazing, and the stars were spectacular every night! We couldn't recommend this place enough.

Walk to the end of the garden at the Joli House and you will come to this portion of the Port Joli Peninsula beach.
A glorious sunset!
Sandpipers run up and down the beach looking for sand fleas and other morsels to eat.
At low tide, the beach stretches for miles and miles ...
Hours of fun can be had poking around the granite boulders that litter the inner bay. There are all sorts of rock pools and marine wildlife to discover.
Beautiful white sandy beaches can be found all the way up the peninsula.
