Amazing and wonderful!!!

We loved loved loved our week here at Ragged Island Retreat! The location is so remote and peaceful, it's almost unbelievable. We spent the week kayaking, writing and breathing in the wonderful ocean air which wafts in over the salt pond. We are already planning our return next summer and can't wait!

Amazing!

Can't say enough about how wonderful this property is! Family Friendly, well equipped, comfy beds, and one of the best beaches around. Our boys (aged 6 & 9) made good use of all the beach toys provided, flew kites, played soccer, and barely touched their iPods once. Sanderling Beach House is a real gem and our week in Nova Scotia was amazing! We can't wait to go back and would highly recomend it to anyone.

The Francis Louis House was great! We drove up to Durham Lane and down to what's known as the
old wharf. We took a lovely walk along that fabulous beach-left toward the mouth of the harbor. A great place to visit at low tide. Afterwards we rode down to the end of St. Catherine's River Road, stopping to view the marsh before the big curve near the end of the road. We saw an adult bald eagle atop one of the scraggly tall spruces!

Description

The park is just across the harbour from Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct National Park, and there are four migratory seabird sanctuaries nearby. Located 4 km south of Highway 103, the Lighthouse Route, the park is 29 km west of Liverpool and 41 km east of Shelburne. Exit Highway 103 in Port Joli at the Port L' Herbert turn-off.
