Guest Testimonials

Great accommodations
We stayed at this wonderful place for a week and made beautiful memories! We found this Castaway Ocean Lodge surfing the web and the service we received from Sandy Lane Vacations was great. It was a memorable moment when we drove up the lane and saw the cottage for the first time with the ocean as it's background…it truly was a jaw dropping moment for us all. What a treat…this cottage has all the conveniences of a home away from home and then some. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace at the end of the day, it was great to be able to relax after long hikes. The location is perfect for nature lovers and the peaceful surroundings soothes the nerves, thus it was with much regret we had to pack up and head back home. Really enjoyed our stay and definitely worthy of a return trip in the near future.

We stayed at a great contemporary cottage! We had a wonderful time just enjoying sitting by the fire and listening to the tides. The dogs favorite beaches were Sandhills and Baccarro. Carter Beach and Charlotte Lane are highly recommended although the beautiful, peaceful and quiet settings are the best. Thank you for the respite.

What a gorgeous spot!  We loved the house and the property - saw deer, bunnies and porcupines.  Unfortunately the weather didn't co-operate - Hurricane Bill for our arrival and tropical storm Dan for our departure.  Nothing could hide the beauty of this spot.

Wanted to let you know that we enjoyed the soft sheets at night after our busy days at the beaches.  We also loved playing your board games after catching crabs in the bay.  The crabs really enjoyed our leftover meat and created some entertainment for the kids while we did the dishes.  We enjoyed the full moon and the low tides. We really enjoyed our stay.
